Web and Graphic Design

I strive to design clean, accessible websites. My work ranges from developing personal websites to large organizations. Sometimes I handle the entirety of building a web site from start to finish. For other projects, I provide mockups and designs that are then taken by a larger department (IT, staffing) to make sure the content/images adhere to the organization's requirements, if necessary. For others, I have acted as a consultant, where my role was a mix of design, discussion & utilization of technologies, demoing, etc.

Department of Communication, Purdue University

Communication

Project: I provided several layout designs to the department. Ultimately, the project became one where several staff informed the direction, layout and maintenance of the web site. Though the layout was initially coded into templates by me in XHTML/CSS, the site bounced around from Serena Collage to being accessed on Dreamweaver so that multiple staff could work on the site and make changes as they see fit.

Fast Track

Fast Track

Project: Fast Track is the news network in West Lafayette, Indiana. I designed graphics, edited hundreds of photos and developing the web site, as well as creating the fall and spring posters that are on display in the county each year. The site is student-maintained and edited by students to help them learn about web design and development.

Health Informatics and Learning Technologies/Regenstrief Center

Health Informatics and Learning Technologies

Project: Part of the work I do at Regenstrief Center involves work for a new team I'm on, HILT. For several of our e-learning portals and web site, branding HILT with a logo was a necessity. Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator

TRIO

TRIO

Project: TRIO required a new web site design. My responsibilities included designing several concepts and attending a TRIO board meeting to offer suggestions and tools the organization should utilize, both for web and print materials. Ultimately, they utilized my services as a consultant, and chose to code the site themselves, drawing upon these layouts as sources.

Project: Dr. Morgan's web site includes a wide listing of her current research projects, in addition to a very detailed and helpful FAQ section for graduate students. This serves as a valuable resource! Coded in XHTML/CSS, utilizes the Lightbox plugin.
